Arnie Wolff Sports Complex , A Dream Of 2100 Soccer Kids in Green Bay, WI
Arnie Wolff was a firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty. Arnie was also a soccer coach and a lover of the sport. After his heroic demise the Green Bay city council named a parcel of property that had been set aside for a soccer complex, in his honor. Until now the city of Green Bay, WI had been without at soccer complex. The Green Bay Strikers, on the east side, are 1400 soccer kids strong and the largest recreational soccer club in Northeastern WI. The Green Bay Kickers are the west side of Green Bay and are 800 kids strong. In 2008, both came together to try to get the complex finished. Parents, together with their children, are working hard to generate monies needed to finish the project. Economic hard times make the effort a challenge the group is determined to win. Green Bay has a reputation through history of coming together, taking tough challenges and winning. The Green Bay Packers, the "other football team", are emblematic of the hard work and perseverance. Any efforts of volunteering or donations to help us with this effort would be much appreciated!

Holiday Parade "You Tube" And Group Picture Located On Our "Help Us" Page.
We'd like to express our thanks to all who participated building our float, donating some materials and joining us on parade day to make it a fun event we all can take pride in. It was never broadcast as a "green" float but 90% of the float was made from recycled materials. It was said, "just like the Green Building we're trying to build on the Complex site!"
WE GOT DIRT!! - Thanks Santa!
Dan Ditscheit of GB Parks Design and Development , reported Monday Dec. 7th, 2009, 2 other Green Bay Projects have started and as a result, much needed fill is coming to the Arnie Wolff Sports complex. He reported we should obtain enough fill to complete the entire landscaping need of the project by this month or January 2010. For persons involved with this project, this is a tremendous Christmas present. This part of the project was reliant on fill availability. Due to a down turn in the economy and lack of building projects, fill could have been a been a considerable additional cost to the project .
