Phoenix, Arizona Soccer Complex (Scottsdale)
We have been observing other cities complexes to inspire the future of the Arnie Wolff Sports Complex. We will be adding more. Please take pictures and send them to [email protected] if you find interesting complexes. My wife and myself stumbled on this park on a business trip. Your participation is appreciated.
The Arizona Complex Had 2 Concession Stands. The One Above Has Offices And A Lower Level Park Maintenance Shop. The Other Building Was Smaller With Canvas Umbrellas Over Playground Toys and Picnic Tables.
There were 14 fields to this complex. The fields were all irrigated. Half of the complex were well lit for night play. In fact it makes sense to play when the air is cooler. At night the six pro fields were equipped with movable bleachers and all fields had movable goals that were not left on the same spots to cause wear.
Unlike Other Complexes The Movable Nets Did Not Have Wheels.
The overall appearance of the Soccer Complex was impressive. Throughout the park were Pet Stations where dog duty bags could be obtained.
Rules were posted for all to see. They even personalized their dumpsters.
The Scottsdale sports complex set the bar high but they did show they could do it! In sports if the athlete sees someone else do it, they know in their mind they can do it and maybe even better!
ASHWAUBENON Sports Complex
This Complex is a little closer to home. It looks like we will be using their complex plans. They have several great Ideas to look at. They have one lighted field with bleachers and one that is not. It is a small complex but has many nice features. To view the complex and shelter check out our building page. The press box makes it great for announced games with a score board. This improves the fan experience and boosts team spirit and player pride when their names are announced. The team shelters are very important for the Wisconsin weather that changes rapidly. I myself found our team waiting out a storm in these very shelters. With soccer gaining popularity, bleachers are almost a must. Games have stopped because of fan space related problems.
Howard, WI Has A Soccer And Baseball Complex Together
Akzo Nobel is a complex worth noting. It's impressive size and concession stand are laid out nicely. When talking to the authors of the complex it was told me because of it's size they intended to install another concession stand on the grounds. They said it is very difficult to gain funds to do so, after it opened. They could use a lighted field and some fan bleachers as well. The sponsor signs found on a the concession stand and the field signs. There are two maintenance sheds located on the site as well. The layout of the facility provides for many parking lots near the fields.
Bellevue, Wisconsin (Green Bay)
Even though this is a small soccer park, it has some great ideas and scenery. The unique trusses used on the bathroom building are clean in appearance and look to be less expensive. The soccer fields lay between farm fields and a stream that encourage wildlife visits.
